Dear Parent(s);
I am looking forward to seeing all of you at conferences. Enjoy your Spring Break with your children.
Have a safe week whether at home or traveling.
Children in our unit are journaling daily during the Lenten season about the daily readings. We also have weekly
a prayer service for all Unit B students. We meet for about half an hour and reflect on various ideas of Lent and
how we can use this time to become better people.
We have begun Junior Achievement in 3rd
and 4th grade Social Studies classes. Volunteers come to the Scocial Stidoes class once a week and teach the
students about grade appropriate community topics. These volunteers are local business people who give up an hour a
week for six weeks to spend time with our classes. We are very appreciative for their generosity.
We continue with Reading Workshop. It is essential that your child
have a book to read with him/her at school every day! They have been pretty good about choosing books on their level.
Your encouragement in this matter is always appreciated.
You can keep tabs on your child's progress by logging on Power School. This year third and
fourth grader's test, assessment, and project scores only will be posted.
Thank you for reading
with your children at home. We read daily at school but they need to also be reading at home. Many of them
have taken tests on the computer at home and at school. Some have not been real consistent. The expectation of three books
per month continues throughout the second semester.
Have a good week! Keep in contact if
you have any questions or concerns.
Mrs. Christopher
